Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) in Coquitlam

Gentle, specialized massage to support your lymphatic system

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique that supports the body's lymphatic system — the network responsible for removing waste, reducing swelling, and keeping your immune system functioning well. Unlike traditional massage, MLD uses very light, precise movements to encourage lymph fluid to move toward the lymph nodes where it can be processed and cleared.

Camille  has recently completed Advanced Level 3 Lymphedema / chronic edema management training with certification in the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT). — the gold standard method taught internationally and the most evidence-informed approach to lymphatic massage available.

Who benefits from MLD?

MLD is a versatile treatment. Camille works with many populations for a wide range of concerns including:

  • Post-surgical recovery and swelling reduction

  • Minor sports injuries and muscle fatigue

  • Sinus congestion and chronic sinus pressure

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Stress, burnout, and nervous system support

  • Lymphedema from surgery, radiation or congenital malformation

  • Venous edema, lipedema and other chronic edema

What makes Dr. Vodder's MLD different?

Dr. Vodder's method is a structured, clinically developed system — not a generic "lymphatic massage." The technique follows the anatomy of the lymphatic system precisely, working in a specific sequence to open drainage pathways before moving fluid toward them. This is why certification and training matter. Camille completed her Level 1 and advanced Level 3 training in 2026 and continues to develop her practice with ongoing education.

What to expect in your session

MLD sessions are quiet and deeply relaxing. The pressure is intentionally very light — this is by design, not timidity. Heavy pressure compresses the superficial lymphatic vessels and disrupts the drainage effect. Most clients feel a noticeable sense of calm or lightness by the end of the session.

Sessions are never rushed.

Your appointment includes intake and assessment, a full MLD treatment, and post-session guidance on hydration, movement, and any simple home care practices that will support your results.
