What is Registered Massage Therapy

In British Columbia, a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a regulated healthcare professional trained to assess and treat soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions. Using a variety of therapeutic massage techniques, RMTs help alleviate pain, improve mobility, and support overall health and wellness. They are licensed by the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) and must complete an accredited massage therapy program and pass rigorous certification exams.
